Hello everyone;
I hope everyone is recuperated from Saturday’s Christmas party and I hope all that had a fantastic time. I personally would like to thank everyone who showed for the party and give us special thanks to those that set the Christmas party up. Anyone that helped volunteer during the party we could not have done it without you !
A special congratulations goes out to Vicki Hodges who is now inducted as another lifetime member of the Phoenix Chapter. We all hope you were pleasantly surprised and again congratulations we all love you.
As you guys know we have lost two members of the board and are planning a special election for our meeting on January 8. Per the decision we made at the December 4 meeting, The election will be held hybrid which means that we will collect ballots for those that are meeting in person at Saavi Services for the blind and the person that I appoint to collect votes for people virtually will count those that are on zoom. Each person will be pulled aside so they vote can be made. keep in mind that this is only if there are more than one person running for the second vice position or the secretary position.
If you plan on nominating someone from the floor, make sure that you ask that person if they wish to even hold the position. and if you’re planning on running for that position make sure you have somebody nominate you from the floor. LOL. if you are interested in running for the second vice position or the secretary position I would recommend that you either speak with Jordan or myself and if you’re planning on running for the secretary position I strongly recommend that you speak with Vicki Hodges. below I posted the duties of these positions in preparation for the special election. If you have any questions do not hesitate to give me a call at 815-501-1153. and, be rest assured I will re-post this information after the first of the year. If I do not speak with you before the new year, I hope you all have a happy holiday.
Sincerely,
Bradley Kuhn
Phoenix chapter president
