[NFBA-Phoenix] Can't Make it to the Holiday Party?

Hello all,

Happy Saturday! I am going to attempt to open our Phoenix Chapter zoom room this evening to enable members and friends who cannot make it to the holiday party today to join virtually. We are going to use our standard meeting link and phone numbers. I hope to have this up by 4:00 PM in time for the awards and the reading of T’was the Night Before Christmas by Vicki. We will keep it open as long as there is interest but especially to allow people to take part in the auction. We will do our best to be inclusive of our virtual guests and look forward to hearing your voices even if you cannot share the same space with us. Thanks to all those who have paid for their meal and who have RSVP for the NFB Phoenix and friends Christmas/Holiday Party. We look forward to celebrating with you. Below are important details to keep in mind as you prepare for our event this Saturday, December 10.

Location: Saavi Services for the Blind, Fiesta Bowl Charities Hall, 2920 N. 7th ST, Phoenix, AZ 85014

Food

Our caterer is preparing turkey and all of the trimmings for us. The cost per person to enjoy the delicious food and beverage is $20 if paid by December 4. It is $25 at the door. Pay for the food by giving cash to our Treasurer, Donna Silba. We encourage everyone to attend.

Tip

Please consider contributing to the catering team for the excellent food and service we will receive on Saturday. We suggest $3 per person however any tip will be appreciated. 

RSVP

Attendees will have a chance to win door prizes throughout the night. Be sure to communicate with Monica Nunez  at (623) 419-7207 or monicapnunez1963 at gmail.com <mailto:monicapnunez1963 at gmail.com>   that you plan to attend. She will want to know if you want to volunteer to help, how many are in your group, and if you have submitted your payment for food to Donna. (See Above)

50/50 Raffle and Auction

Bring cash to the party. You will get the chance to win a cash drawing if you participate in the 50/50 raffle to benefit the Phoenix chapter. Thanks to a generous member of our chapter, we will also be holding an auction for a Series one Apple watch and bands and an Air Fryer. We will open bidding on these items on December 7 through email and conclude bidding during our party. Winners of the Auction items will be able to pick up their items at the party if payment has been received.

Gift Exchange

Bring a wrapped gift to the party to participate in a white elephant gift exchange. The gift should be new and have a value of $15-$20. The gift exchange will take place shortly after dinner and is always a ton of fun for participants.

Family Friendly

The fun and games of the evening will be family friendly. No alcohol or other controlled substances will be permitted. Kids will have a great time too. If you plan to bring your youngster let Monica know so we can be sure to have something special planned for them too.

Entertainment

After the meal and other scheduled events stick around for singing and more fun. The sound system will be arranged for singing Christmas Carrols and Karaoke for the rest of our fun filled event.
