Phoenix Chapter Family:

  Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Halloween! Can you believe we’re already in November? Won’t be long until we start hearing holiday songs on the radio 😊

Here are some chapter news updates:


November Chapter Meeting


  The November chapter meeting will be this Saturday 11/04 at  SAAVI Services for the Blind’s Phoenix center. Our chapter secretary Rachel will be sending an email with more details later in the week. Make sure you read through the end for announcements and more!

If you want to join some members of our board, we typically meet beforehand to discuss any chapter business. The meetings are open typically. This months will take place tonight at 7:00 over Zoom.

Chapter Elections


  All officers and board positions of the chapter are up for election. We will be holding our elections on Saturday. Remember if you wish to run and the nominating committee did not put your name up on its slate, you can still have someone nominate you from the floor. Please make sure that you are present in the meeting. (Zoom counts, but it would be great if you were in person  😊) 

 


Fudge time


  Yes, our chapter is not fudging around. We will have a holiday fundraiser selling fudge throughout November. Betty, our Fundraiser Committee Chair will be sending something out soon as well as talking about it during our chapter meeting on Saturday. You can support someone with a nice gift this holiday season and our chapter at the same time! Please check your emails/texts and even we may call you!

 


Holiday party:


  We are going to have a holiday party as a chapter this year in December.  The holiday party planning committee has been hard at work and I’m excited to hear what the chapter thinks about everything they have been working on! Just a hint: It is delicious! Please join our meeting on Saturday for more details.

 


Helping those in Need


  If you know of someone or if you are in need of help this holiday season, the Phoenix chapter wants to know. Please reach out to Rachel or Betty. You can also just reply to this email (nfbphoenixchapter at gmail.com <mailto:nfbphoenixchapter at gmail.com> ) privately and I will pass it to them.

 

Lastly, I want to thank Mr. Michael Smith our wonderful 1st VP for leading a great meeting in October.
