Call to Order-Jordan Moon, President
Roll Call 18 members and 4 guests attended
Attendees participated in the pledge of Allegiance, NFB Pledge and One-Minute Message. Then spent time in reflection and support of our community through prayer.
Presidential Report Jordan spoke of the how much we give ourselves to the work of our movement and efforts to bring in new members, and to look for ways to support our work and to volunteer in the community. he continues to be proud of the work our chapter is doing.
Secretary's Report Rachel Kuntz, Secretary, - Business Meeting Minutes, October 2023.
Mike Smith, 1st Vice President, moved to accept the report as corrected. Scott Tokunaga seconded. The motion carried.
Treasurer's Report - Donna Silba, Treasurer, November 2023
Mike moved to accept the Treasurers report as corrected. Rachel seconded. The motion carried.
Membership Committee -New Member Welcome -Vicki Farley and Monica Nunez, Co-Chairs
Monica, 2nd Vice President, moved to welcome Teresa Sanchez as a Phoenix Chapter member. Mike seconded. The motion carried.
Sheryl Susunkewa moved to welcome Elberta (Pert) Susunkewa as a Phoenix Chapter member. Monica seconded. The motion carried.
Sharonda Goode and members welcomed Autumn Schaefer as an Associate Member of the chapter.
Committee reminded all members to pay dues for 2024.
Guest Presenter: Medicare Healthcare Navigator, Scott Rose, He talked about Medicare open Enrollment and tips for picking a plan.

Members discussed the latest legislative and national news.
Legislative Report National/affiliate
Jordan spoke of the latest information in the affiliate.
Technology Committee-Joe Goode, Chair
Spoke of the plans for the upcoming seminars.
Fundraising Committee -Betty Love, Chair
Spoke of the plans for popcorn sales and potential pancake breakfast in 2024.
Outreach Committee
Jordan noted that everyone is part of the outreach committee and for now we will not have a specific outreach committee chair.
Holiday Party Update, Lori Kirsop, Chair
Confirmed that the chapter holiday party is on Dec 9 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Spaghetti Factory in Phoenix. Plans and details will be sent out to everyone soon.
Send suggestions to Jordan to nominate a family to  support using holiday funds.
Members listed the many activities they took part in during the month of October to bring awareness of the blindness community.
State Division and committee updates
Members were invited to join the Braille Readers are Leader's challenge.
Senior Division will be making holiday cards in December.
Chapter wants to join in the card making efforts and will supply materials.
New Business
Announced that all are welcome to the monthly Board Meeting on the Thursday prior to each Chapter Meeting. The meeting link is our standard zoom link.
Affiliate quarterly board meeting November 11 at 9:30 AM in Tucson
Reach out to Jordan if you would like to use transportation provided courtesy of Saavi.
Jordan is waiting for more information from event coordinators to provide members regarding MLK Jr Day Celebration Jan 15, 2024.
Philosophy: Members discussed how they give back to others. many examples were given including helping at their church, family events, and connecting veterans to helpful resources.
Announcements
Several birthdays were announced and celebrated by singing in unison the birthday song.
Meeting was moved to Adjourn and seconded by too many to note. the motion carried.
