Good morning, my name is Ana Martinez. I am a blind grad student doing a Masters in Theology, and I am a graduate of the Louisiana Center for the Blind.

A colleague and I are coordinating a mission trip in Europe; we are organizing a retreat for blind young adults from through out Europe, with the goal of giving these young blind people the alternative skills of blindness so that they may live independent and fulfilling lives. However, the most important goal of this retreat is to invite these young people into a relationship with Christ and to bring them closer to the Catholic Church.

In order to make this retreat a success, one of the things we need is competent blind role models. We are looking for any blind adult willing to travel to Europe next Summer, who has a positive philosophy regarding blindness, who has good blindness skills, and who is a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

This is not an ecumenical project; this is strictly a Catholic project.
