[NFBA-Phoenix] Join Us for the MLK Celebration on Monday, January 20!

We’re excited to share the details for this year’s *MLK Celebration*
on *Monday,
January 20*, and we hope you’ll join us for this meaningful event!

*Why We Participate*

We take part in this event—both by marching and hosting an informational
table—because *equality is our civil right, too*. As members of the
National Federation of the Blind, we stand united in promoting inclusion,
access, and opportunity for all. Let’s make our presence known as we honor
Dr. King’s legacy!

*March Information*

   - *Location:* The March will begin at *Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church*,
   located at *1401 E. Jefferson in downtown Phoenix*.
   - *Time:* The March begins at *9:00 a.m.*, but we’re asking everyone who
   plans to walk with the NFB group to arrive between *8:30 and 8:45 a.m.*.
   - *Meeting Point:* Once you’re there, please call *Macaulay Beasley at
   (601) 270-2766 *so we can gather and walk together.
   - *You will march from Pilgrim Rest to Margaret T.* Hance Park, 1202 N. 3
   rd St.

If you plan to march, please let Macaulay know by *next Thursday, January
16. Give him a call at (601) 270-4766.*


Table Volunteers at Margaret T. Hance Park

A few of us will be at Margaret T. Hance Park at 9:00 a.m. setting up the
information table with NFB literature. We will be there, ready to hand out
materials and answer questions.

We need additional volunteers to help during two-hour shifts:

   - *9:00 – 11:00:* Monica Sharonda, and Michael have this shift covered.
   - *11:00 – 1:00:* Open!
   - *1:00 – 3:00:* Open!

Please let me know by *next Thursday, January 16, *which shift you’d like

spread the message of equality!
