Dear community members and Friends,


The NFB Tucson Chapter will be meeting for an important Advocacy Work Group
on Wednesday, May 13 at 4:30 PM to organize around the Older Blind
Independent Living bill (ILB), budget funding item and continue advocacy
efforts related to the ADA Title II regulation issue that was highlighted
in this month’s presidential release. This will be a virtual meeting and
the zoom link is at the bottom of this message.


This meeting will focus primarily on our final grassroots advocacy push to
support ILB funding. We want to help members and supporters get set up to
send emails and take action so our elected leaders hear directly from our
community before key decisions are made.


Our voices are strongest when we work together. By standing united and
speaking up collectively, we can demonstrate the importance of protecting
services and opportunities for blind Arizonans. Grassroots advocacy makes a
difference, and every email sent helps ensure our community is heard loud
and clear.


During this work group session, we will:

* Share updates on the ILB budget item

* Help participants draft and send advocacy emails

* Coordinate outreach efforts for maximum impact

* Provide updates on the ADA Title II regulation issue


Whether you are new to advocacy or have participated before, your voice
matters and your participation is important.
