And, this is a topic that is very important to me personally. There is a ton of things that I am currently working on behind the scenes, here locally, as well as nationally, that are creating employment opportunities, making job boards accessible, and paying individuals, who happen to be blind, to do a job that makes a difference.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>I know the people who truly care, the leaders of our chapter, and our affiliate, who want to work, will be there. Assuming you’re not already working and have a job. The NFB is about business, and this is business you want to be involved in.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Because it could put you in a business making the money you’re worth…<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>In transparency, one of the things I’m doing that you may not know about, in regards to creating employment opportunities, is I serve on the Arizona Governor’s Council for blindness and visual impairment, serving on the employment committee.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>ANNOUNCEMENT OF PUBLIC FORUM <o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Issues and Unmet Needs in the Continuum of Services to Persons Who are Blind and Persons Effected by Combined Vision and Hearing Loss<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>A <b>Public Forum</b> will be conducted as an incorporated section of the Arizona Governor’s Council on Blindness and Visual Impairment (GCBVI) meeting agenda. The meeting starts at 12:30 p.m. on July 21, 2017. The GCBVI Chair, Amy Porterfield, will invite members of the public to address the Council starting at 2:00 p.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Feedback is invited from Arizona consumers who are blind, their families, advocates, service providers and other interested parties, especially regarding the role of the Arizona Governor’s Council on Blindness and Visual Impairment (GCBVI).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Individuals wanting to speak are asked to limit remarks to 3 minutes and an additional 2 minutes may be allotted to allow Council members to ask clarifying questions (if needed) and the speaker to respond.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f">
