We are one step closer to getting this bill to the governor’s desk and making it a law. As a reminder, this bill prohibits the restriction of custody, adoption, guardianship and fostering of a child based solely on an individual's blindness. At the end of January, NFBA members packed senate hearing room 2 and many of us spoke, which resulted in unanimous passage by the Health and Human Services committee. On Tuesday, 03/06/18, it’s time to pack the room again!<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">SB 1198 will be heard in the Federalism Property Rights and Public Policy committee, at 2:00 p.m., in House Hearing Room 4. It is the first item on the agenda, so please be on time!
