We decided to see if the relatively new Flixbus could provide us with a workable option for members to get to and from Las Vegas. The research that went into this was immense, and the work that has gone into coordinating this is even greater and has come with little thanks.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:13.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:13.0pt">I want to sincerely thank Megan Homrighausen for all the hard work she has contributed to support members in accessing transportation to our national convention site in Las Vegas. All the passengers that have asked to be booked through the affiliate flix Bus have been booked.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:13.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:13.0pt">In our May Board meeting, we determined that we would offer the option for members to book through the affiliate so that the affiliate could offer a shuttle to pick members up from the Caesars Palace Flix bus stop and transition to the Mandalay Bay resort. This option was weighed against the option of chartering a bus to travel from Arizona to Las Vegas which was cost prohibited. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:13.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:13.0pt">This was a new endeavor, and I believe Megan performed admirably in getting all members the best options that were available. For those of you wishing to wait at the Tempe Bus Stop, Flix Bus made some changes based on the bus stop location. The stop at Phoenix is at the sky train station and is air-conditioned, which is a great spot for people to wait. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:13.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:13.0pt">If you have any questions about your ticket, please contact Megan.
