Hello Eastvalley,

Please read the following information regarding Preposed changes to Dial A Ride.
 
For persons who live or travel by Dial a Ride in Mesa:
 
The City of Mesa is considering making significant change to  Dial a Ride service in Mesa.  Perhaps you received a print letter about this proposed change.  In a nutshell, Mesa would change the boundaries where Dial a Ride service wouldgo.  East of Solomon Rd would not be served.  North of Brown between Lindsay and Recker rds 
Would no longer be served.  Essentially, they would use the Federal rules that require Dial a Ride service to be provided within ¾ of a mile from a bus or light rail route.  They would plan to initiate this change in July, 2019.  They would increase the number of Ride choice trips from 16 to 50 per month; however, these rides would cost only $3.00 per ride if you stay within 8 miles from pick-up to destination.
 
The City is holding several meetings between October 29 and November 17 to explain the plan and receive comments.  Listed below are the locations, addresses, dates and times of each of these meetings:
 
Monday, October 29  
2:00-4:00 p.m.
Red Mountain Active Adult Center
7550 E. Adobe Rd.
 
Thursday, November 1 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Mesa Active Adult Center
247 N McDonald Dr.
 
Saturday, November 3 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Sunland Springs Village
2240 S. Springwood Blvd.
 
Thursday, November 8  3:30-5:30 p.m.
Red Mountain Public Library
635 N. Power Rd.
Saturday, November 17 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Eagles Community Center
828 E. Broadway Rd.
 
Please attend one of these meeting if you can at all possible and make comments about how this major change would affect you.
