National Federation of the Blind of Arizona East Valley Chapter
Minutes
May 2, 2020
There is no meeting due to the Coronavirus (covid19) and the Pile adult
recreation center located at 655 East Southern Avenue is closed till
further notice. The chapter held a meeting by conference call instead.
Amar called the meeting to ordre at 12:05 PM. The NFB Pledge and One
minute message were read. A motion was made and passed to table the
secretary and treasurer’s reports till we can have a physical meeting.
Everyone talked about how they are doing with regards to the
coronavirus. Mark Feliz talkd about what he has been doing and the
resource list the Phoenix Chapter has. The East Valley chapter has
added some other resources. The list will be sent out.
Tony and Tina talked about what they have been doing including Freedom
Scientific is doing a free jaws offer through June

Tony and Tina also talked about an online game site called RS Games

Megan mentioned that Valley Metro is running and you board the bus from
the back of the bus and Brad talked about lyft and you can get voutures
and contact the state affiliate president to get the vouchers.. The NFB
National convention will be online this year, and you can register for
the convention at:

Amar talked about having a monthly meeting on the third Saturday of the
month and the chapter board wil work out the detales. Tony ended the
meeting with a prayer for everyone and the first responders. The
meeting was adjourned at 1:15 PM
