[NFBAZ-EastValleyChapter] East Valley In Person Chapter Meeting This Saturday Aug 21st

Dear East Valley Chapter,

We are so excited to announce that we are having our first in person meeting since February 2020.

It’s been a long road for everyone this past year and a half. We are so thankful that everyone seems to be doing okay during this time.

The East Valley Board has taken a lot of time to discuss the issue of whether we should meet in person. We reached out to chapter members as well to see what their thoughts were. The consensus is that we have enough people who would like to meet in person to hold a chapter meeting.

This is not all we had to take into consideration. The safety of our members comes first and foremost. We have discussed how we will keep our members safe by practicing social distancing as much as we can. We will also be providing masks as well as hand sanitizer.

The city of Tempe has been very good about mask mandates. The buildings have not been full which gives them more time to practice CDC guidelines. 

The building that we will be holding our meeting in will be following CDC guidelines.

We are asking that if you would like to come to our meeting in person, please make sure you’re feeling well. If you’re feeling sick, even if you have a cold, it’s okay. If you are not quite comfortable getting out yet, thats okay too. We have an option for you to participate in the meeting virtually. Please see virtual meeting options below.

The East Valley Chapter meeting will be held in person as well as virtually this Saturday, August 21st from 12:30 to 3pm at the Pyle Adult Recreation Center located at:

655 East Southern Avenue in Tempe, 85282

The meeting room will open at 12 PM. We will be meeting in the Payson room. This is the same room we were meeting in before.

As for now, because of the pandemic we will most likely take member votes by phone when business comes up, please be ready for when this option ends. We will keep following Covid news.

We need East Valley members to participate on our NFBA legislative committee. We need to be keeping up on our legislation and help as needed. If you are interested, If you would like to know more about this committee, please reach out to me.

After our meeting this Saturday, we will be gathering at The Red Devil restaurant  located at: 208 West Southern Avenue. In Tempe 85282.

It will be great to see everyone again. We hope you can make it. We understand that these are difficult and uncertain times right now. We hope that everyone continues to stay safe, healthy, and happy.
