Justins obituary

Justin Ryan Hughes passed away Monday, April 25, 2022.
He was born in Mesa, Az. Justin is survived by his Dad Stan and his 
Stepmom Susanne, his Mom Linda  Hughes, sisters Jenny Clouse (Doug) and 
Janet Myers (Matt), Grandma Dottie Hughes, Uncle Phil  Hughes (Joan), 
Uncle Craig Sjodin (Esther), Aunts Brenda Rickey (Dave) and Nancy 
Nickoloff  (Robbie), niece Taylor and nephews Jared, Luke, Weston, 
Ashton, Preston and Maddox.
Justin attended Hermosa Vista Elementary, Stapley Jr. High and Mountain 
View High School. He  graduated in 2001 from the Arizona State School 
for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson, AZ. He also  attended programs at the 
Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix, the Colorado Center for the  
Blind in Littleton, Colorado, and the Lion's World Vocational School 
for the Blind in Little Rock,  Arkansas. He was featured in an Arizona 
Daily Star article titled "Rising to Challenges" during his  time at 
the ASDB. Justin was an active member in the National Federation of the 
Blind AZ, serving  as 2nd Vice-President of the East Valley Chapter. He 
attended classes at the Arizona Center for the  Blind and 
Visually-Impaired in Phoenix. He was an advocate for the blind 
community in Arizona, was  instrumental in promoting NFB and helped to 
coordinate many fundraising events.
Justin was a wonderful person who was well known for his kindness, 
generosity, and humility. His  "smile" could light up a room! Anyone 
who met Justin knew that he made the world a happier and  better place. 
Justin truly lived by the "Golden Rule", always treating others the way 
he would want  to be treated. He will be deeply missed by his family 
and friends. Contributions in his memory can  be made to the National 
Federation of the Blind of Arizona. (East Valley Chapter). A 
"Celebration  of his Life" will be held at Central Christian Church: 
933 N. Lindsay Rd., Mesa, Az. 85213 on  Saturday May 14th at 2:00 p.m.
