Greetings,

Just a reminder, the deadline to submit your application for the
National Federation of the Blind scholarship is fast approaching. The
deadline is March 31, 2023. If you are a college student, or plan to be
a college student, and are going to be enrolled in college in the Fall
of 2023, you should apply. As long as you meet the qualifications,
which can be found by going to www.nfb.org/scholarships
<http://www.nfb.org/scholarships>, your application will be considered.

It is also not too late to apply for the National Federation of the
Blind of Arizona scholarship. The deadline is May 31, 2023, and
requires the same qualifications as the national scholarship. Please
contact Amy Porterfield at amypfield at gmail.com
<mailto:amypfield at gmail.com> if you have any questions.

If you are not planning on being enrolled in college in the Fall of
2023, but know a blind student that will be enrolled, please share this
information with them.

Each year, the National Federation of the Blind awards scholarships to
recognize achievement by blind and low-vision scholars. Thanks to our
generous partners, there are thirty $8,000 merit-based scholarships
currently available. And the cash value is only one aspect of this
prestigious program.

We also provide funding to travel to and attend the National Federation
of the Blind’s national convention with the opportunity to network with
more blind students, to exchange information and ideas, and to meet and
talk with hundreds of blind people who are successfully working in many
occupations and professions. Apply for the scholarship program now.

"Applying for this prestigious scholarship is challenging but worth it.
Applicants come from various backgrounds including those who have never
heard of the NFB before. If one does not get selected for one year; do
not be discouraged and apply again." - Colin Wong, winner of the 2022
Kenneth Jernigan Scholarship
