Hello,



Please join your friends and family at the NFB Phoenix Chapter annual Norma
Roberts Wagner Picnic on Saturday, April 13. All that’s needed is a quick
RSVP, a dish to share, and your enthusiasm.



Who: *National Federation of the Blind of Phoenix*

What: *Norma Roberts Picnic*

Where: *Saavi Services for the Blind*, 2920 N 7 St, Phoenix, AZ 85014

When: *Saturday, April 13, 2024 Noon to 3:00 PM*



Festivities include lunch, fun, prizes and a special gift for eligible
blind and low vision attendees.



*RSVP for the Picnic by April 8*

and the item you are bringing to share. The picnic menu is a combination of
potluck from our guests and a couple of protein options funded by the
Phoenix Chapter. Suggestions for items to bring are listed in a separate
section below.



*Volunteer*

macaulaybeasley1 at gmail.com. Help is wanted for jobs of all kinds so don’t
be shy about lending your time with set-up, during the picnic, and
afterwards with clean-up. Macaulay will fill volunteer slots according to
those who contact him.



*Prizes and Fun*

All guests will have the chance to win prizes and enjoy entertainment.



The Phoenix chapter will hold a 50/50 raffle and is collecting new/unused
items with a value of $20 to $30 to be used as raffle prizes. Tickets may
be purchased in advance, cash/credit accepted, and winners will not need to
be present to win. Stay tuned for more details.



The Funds raised will benefit the membership of the Phoenix chapter and the
blindness community. To contribute bring a new/unused item with an
estimated value of $20 to $30 to the picnic and leave it with the raffle

*Free Health & Wellness Gift *

In addition to the picnic food and fun, blind and low vision picnic
attendees may be eligible to receive a free health and wellness gift bag
filled with accessible devices courtesy of Saavi Services for the Blind in
partnership with the Department of Public Health. Items include talking
medical devices and wearable technology in addition to a “D” cane while
supplies last. Chapter membership and financial information is not

*Picnic Contribution Ideas*

Note: Plan to bring enough to serve approximately 10 to 12 people

   1. Hot dog buns (beef hot dogs will be provided by the Phoenix chapter)
   2. Condiments for hot dogs such as: mustard, ketchup, mayo, hot sauce
   3. Hot dog toppings such as shredded cheese, diced onions, peppers,
   pickle relish, etc.
   4. Side Salads any variety: pasta, potato, corn, cucumber, etc.
   5. Baked beans and other bean dishes
   6. Meatballs and other appetizers
   7. Dips and salsas
   8. Rice
   9. Chips, pretzels, popcorn, tortilla chips, etc.
   10. Fresh veggies and fruit
   11. Cheese, crackers, and sliced meats
   12. Cookies, pies, and/or cakes
   13. Bottled water.
   14. Beverage’s lemonade, soda,
   15. Bags of ice
   16. Disposable cups, plates (large and small), forks (utensils)
   17. Aluminum foil, paper towels, napkins, kitchen gloves
