[NFBAZ-EastValleyChapter] student activities at convention

Hello all,



I hope everyone is doing well and ready for convention! Here is some info
on what the student division will be doing at the convention. I was
wondering if it’s possible to get this out to the respective list serves
and students so everyone is prepared?

First, the annual NFBAZ Talent Show will be taking place Friday evening
from 8 PM to 11 PM! If anyone wishes to participate, the link to register
is below. Please make sure you send all sound info to Joe Goode per the
instructions in the registration link.

Second, the student division is hosting a pie fundraiser this year! There
will be five candidates that will be voted on, and the winning candidate
will get pie thrown in their face at the end of banquet on Saturday
evening. The candidates are: Ammar Tarin, Maranda Ulvestad, Amanda Adcook,
McCaulay Beasley, and Tarik Wiliams. Votes are done through payment. One
vote is five dollars, and five votes is $20. The person that gets to throw
the pie will be auctioned off as part of the state affiliate auction during
banquet as well!

Third, if you wish to run for a position on the Arizona Association of
blind students board, all positions are open this year. If you’re
interested in running, please let me know. My phone number is 480-580-7874,

Finally, please make sure you attend both the student seminar on Friday
afternoon, as well as the student business meeting on Saturday during
lunch. The seminar will be taking place Friday at 1:30 PM, and the business
meeting will be taking place Saturday during the lunch hour.
