Today is National Senior Citizens Day and we are honoring courageous individuals who paved the way before us and mentored us through our own journeys with blindness. The National Federation of the Blind has benefitted tremendously from the wisdom, determination, and vision of bold leaders throughout our history. Through the creation of programs, our advocacy efforts, and the ability to serve blind children and adults across the country, our Federation leaders have fought fearlessly to improve the lives of blind people everywhere.
