Hello All,
We can not do a raffle as it will violate our non-profit status. This is a California law. I feel that a Poppin Popcorn would be a better fundraiser than See’s as there are more options to choose from.
Do we have families from both Northern & Southern California? If so, what are the age(s) of the child/children?
Thank you,
Tiffany Manosh

Subject: [NFBC-At-Large] Action Needed for Fundraiser
Hello Everyone,
We voted to have a fundraiser with See's candies. However, our chapter
needs to have an account setup with See's Candy for them to deposit the money
from the fundraiser, which we do not have at this time.
The other fundraisers we discussed were raffling a TV or Double Good Popcorn.
The fundraiser for the TV raffle the money will have to come out of our treasurer's
account. To purchase software for tickets, pre-cut tickets, distributed to all chapters, and return to us in time to raffle off.
The Double Good Popcorn fundraiser will be 4 days. We can create one link for us all to use.
If there are no other suggestions or agreements to these alternatives, we can vote to donate from our treasury $250 per family to sponsor a child from Northern and Southern California for Christmas.
Our time is very limited to donate to two families from Northern and Southern California by December 15th, so we need to make a decision immediately.
We can do other fundraisers later to generate funds to help send members to the 2026 State and National Conventions.
If you have any questions, please call Carmen at 909-486-2004.
Also, I would like to remind you our At Large Chapter meeting Thursday November 20, at 7 PM
Zoom link will be sent out next week.
Thank you
