Hello Angela- That's a good question. Someone should speak to our
legislative coordinator and see if he has any ideas on how we as a state can
participate in these forums.

Is the state making an organized effort to get folks to these meetings? If
everyone just comes on there own we might have a few people at each one, but
if the state affiliate and/or the local chapters make an event out of it,
the response could be much better.

If one looks at the locations of these meetings, it is obvious that one
would need to take a day off from work and may not have the necessary
transportation to participate in making a change with the way DOR operates.
I am an ISP provider, but there are really no reasonable locations to attend
the public hearings. The grater Los Angeles area is really not represented
here and there are a vast amount of seniors that could benefit from future
services under part II of this meeting. The baby boomer generation will
require services in the State of California and this segment will contribute
to the growth in numbers that DOR will need to provide services to. This is
only my thoughts.
