[Nfbc-info] Fw: Casting for Reality Television Show

I'm curious ...

Why is throwing a party for a group of blind people a way to measure inner
beauty?

I put together parties for blind people and sighted people all the time. I
want to win money or whatever. Actually, it sounds like a rather boring
reality TV show. Hurray, women who are hosting a party for the blind. How
thrilling. And why does it have to be a woman, I assume by the word "diva."

How are they being judged? Who can carry the most drinks to the most blind
people sitting on the couch? Or, who can guide the most blind people to the
bathroom? Oh I know, what kind of games can they come up with for the poor
blind people to play?

> Hi, my name is Andy McEntee and I am currently casting blind and visually
> impaired men and women to help on a new reality television show on the
> Oxygen Network.
> The premise of the show is 10 "diva" type women who think they are
> competing to be the next Hollywood 'IT' girl. Once they arrive they
> discover that they are actually going to be judged on their inner-beauty
> and how good of a person they are.
> For our premiere episode we are telling the girls that they are throwing a
> party for a group of men and women. They will be in charge of preparing
> food and supplying the drinks. What they don't know is that everyone
> coming to the party is blind or visually impaired.
> The girls and party-goers will mingle and interact throughout the night.
> Once the party is over the group of blind/visually impaired guests will
> decide who the best host is and in turn, who wins the challenge.
