[Nfbc-info] [nabs-l] Follow NFB on Twitter

Hi Peter. Regarding this comment. Two problems. First AOL was then this is
now the sands of time continue to flow and things change including the
average ability of the blind computer user as well as the average desires of
those users.
NFB is all ready on all three of these sites. Anything we do including
pulling the NFB presence away is after the fact.
The argument I might use in court against you is all ready there.
Besides doesn't it stand to reason that a big organization of the blind
which raises millions of dollars a year and has a PR budget would hire
someone to get by the captcha's if they needed too?
That still wouldn't mean the site was accessible to the membership at home.
Way before Textbooks were available in timely fashion to all college or
elementary students the NFB published print literature.
Presence on the big three social networks it could be argued is to generate
sighted participation through donations, promotion of sighted volunteerism
etc not to necessarily connect the blind users who for the most part are
somewhat connected through the organizations anyway.
But, if they aren't they could be connected because a sighted friend saw the
NFB sites.
Television some might argue isn't totally accessible to the blind but we
still appear on shows and place adds there.
Mike
