I sometimes hear a similar sound when someone either enters or exits my
instant message folder. Don't know why this happens since I do not 'do' I/M.
Don't know if this is your issue or not.

Hi all. I've recently encountered an annoying problem. This happens at
the end of a web page. I hear two quick sharp chimes like a flag poll
bouncing on concrete. I'm running system access as a screen reader.
What,
if anything does this sound mean? If this keeps up, I'll have to join the
deaf blind division shortly. I gotta go.
