[Nfbc-info] Junior Blind Summer Jobs -- Blind Need not Apply?

Hey Angela- Mike is referring to a totally separate program from the STEP
program. JBA has a residential program for children with special needs and
that is not the same program they are asking for applicants. I suggest you
go to the JBA website and research all of their programs before you make
anymore inflammatory statements about their practices and programs.

">STEP is a summer program for young adults who are 16-22 years old, who are
blind or visually impaired and seeking career-awareness,

If what you say is true, they are deceiving their potential applicants right
off the bat. 16-22-year-old blind people are a far different type of student
group than 5-7-year-olds with multiple disabilities.

Hi Angela. Here's what's happening. Many of the children living there
are under 18 actually I think Terra told me they were really young maybe in
the 5 to 7 range. These kids aren't just blind. Terra says she thinks they
have one staff member per child or a very high number. I guess the job
description doesn't tell you that Mike
