[Nfbc-info] Discrimination in Oakland

Good afternoon everyone,

You don't know the ways of the ACB as those of us who have been around
the organized blind do. They have their own guide dog user group. Let them
get help from them. I'm not at all that enthused at bending over backward to
help that crew only to have them attempt to destroy our exhibit booth at a
local blindness fair. That's exactly what happened last year. I know because
I saw it happen. We almost had them expelled from the exhibission hall.
Several of our chapter members brought notetakers which were almost damaged
by their behavior and subsequent actions.

Before you comment any further read your history concerning the NFB and
the ACB. While the incident is unfortunate we have better things to do with
our funds than to spend it on those who through their organization would
undermine our initiatives, attempt to destroy our property, and otherwise do
all they can to create the kind of discrimination we're working hard to
eliminate.

Peter Donahue
