I'm taking a risk here and just putting this out on the list without
consulting our chapter president--sorry Jason.

I want a huge turn out of blind people at the Union City city council
meeting tomorrow evening. If you are in the area, and can attend,
email or call serena. It would be great if we could get a dozen blind
people with dogs and canes showing up to recieve our White Cane
proclaimation.

Here's the 411 for the White Cane Day Proclomation at the City Council
meeting on Tuesday:

The meeting will be at:
34009 Alvarado Niles Rd.

Date & Time:
Tuesday, October 12th
Meeting starts at 7,we need to be there by 6:45

It's about a half mile walk from Union City BART.  To allow ample time
for the walk, we'll meet at Union City BART, right outside of the
gates, as close to 6:15 as possible.  Please RSVP to me by phone or
email as soon as possible, so I know who to wait for, and call my cell
if there are any delays.  831-917-5335.  We also could use someone
with a camera to capture the event--it'll be a great photo op!

Let's show Mayor Green a strong East Bay presence!
