[Nfbc-info] Scramble Pedestrian Intersections?

All,

Scary still if they plan to include audible traffic signals. As someone
else pointed out if sound is used to indicate the changing of the light that
could be one thing, but I would think as we all have seen traffic noise will
tell us the same thing. If, on the other hand, all lights at the
intersection have audible signals which activate at the same time how easy
would it be to determine the direction to cross?

I recognize that a "scramble" signal can present difficulties especially if
you don't know the area and suddenly encounter it. I will be interested to
see what suggestions people have for this situation. Give me a good
transporter with the command "beam me up Scotty" any day.

Best,

Michael Hingson

Hi Hoby,
the intersection is located in Rohnert Park by Ranch Cotati High School.

We have an intersectionlike this in Sonoma county. I have never used it, but
it seems safe.
