Hey guys this sounds like a great fit for me. I'm thinking of checking
out Heald College in Concord California where I live and I just
perused the site and found the following program that knowingly will
be a match for me! Check it out and please if anyone has any tips
about this career, I'd love for you to share your golden nuggets, with
me, please?

Description:
Office Skills Program
Office Skills is the perfect program for people who want to learn how
to run an office efficiently. Individuals who specialize in this area
are generally good at multi-tasking and working as a part of a team.
If the following qualities describe you, Office Skills might be a good
program choice:
•Interested in technology
•Enjoy multi-tasking
•Friendly
•Detail oriented
•Flexible
Office Skills: What's the job outlook?
Businesses rely on the expertise of their support staff more and more
every day, so job applicants who know their way around office
technologies and computer software have a competitive edge. Those that
can provide unbiased proof of their skills in the form of
industry-recognized certifications have the greatest potential for
becoming a valuable part of a business team. Official certifications
reassure employers that you have the know-how to be productive on the
job.
What will I do with my education?
Graduates of Heald's Office Skills program pursue a variety of
rewarding positions. It's the perfect program for someone entering the
workplace for the first time, someone reentering the workplace after
some time, or a current jobholder who wants to upgrade his or her
skills.
Job Duties
This Certificate of Completion program prepares students to handle the
two most essential administrative tasks, data entry and word
processing, which are considered the lifeblood of virtually all types
of businesses. The program is a two-quarter, 24-unit, non-degree
program that provides training preparation for the Microsoft®
Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) and Internet and Computing
Core Certification (IC3™) exams. Typically, students who have
completed this program go on to earn additional certifications to
validate their skills and further their careers.
You'll get more than career training at Heald. You'll gain
professional polish so you can be an asset your first day on the job.
If you're interested in this program, you can pursue a Certificate of
Completion in Office Skills.
The above serves as a general overview for this program. For details,
please refer to our academic catalog.

So, what do you think?
Eager for feedback and tips...as of DSPS or Disabled Support
Programs, I'm unaware of such at this college, but I figured, I might
as well try, right?
Any gold nuggets you have to offer regarding this type of course or
career? I khave an HPG72 Laptop running Windows 7 64-bit and
Non-Visual Desktop Access as my prime screen reader since JAWS 10
which I'm fully licensed to use won't work well on this system. Yuck,
hate the ribbons in Word...fishy face! I have Microsoft Office 2010.
