Brandon,

Are you changing your residence or only going there temporarily?

Hello,
I'm going to go to Italy and either Germany or France, probably Germany
though. I'm expecting to be there for a year.
I don't see your email, so could you please send me a private message at:
brandonkeithbiggs at gmail.com
It would help so much if I could keep my benefits, I would like to talk to
you and ask how you managed giving them your address and if there are any
forms I need to fill out. Currently I am getting the highest amount of SSI I
believe, and when I go over seas the rent will be $200 more each month than
my SSI check is, so I really need to have everything in order before I go
over so I'm not left flipping a larger bill than I can handle...
Thank you,

Brandon Keith Biggs

Hi Brandon,

Congratulations! Studying abroad is really a life changing experience. I
know you are going to have a great time. Where are you going?

I studied in Northern Ireland for my last semester in undergrad in 2004.
I'm happy to provide any guidance or suggestions I can. I had no problem
with my SSI benefits as my primary residence and employment status never
changed. Feel free to email me off list and we can chat further.

Best,
Jonathan Lyens

Hello,
I am going to Europe as an exchange student next year and I am wondering if
there is anyone who knows if it would be possible for me to keep my SSI
Benefit's?
I have heard of one person doing it, because I'm not going to be moving
there and because I'm still a student of an American government institution,
I think there may be an exception.
Is there an organization who can help me navigate the burocrisy of SSI and
who can let me know if such exception exists?
Thank you,

Brandon Keith Biggs
