Awesome. Great job advocating for this important issue. Persistence
prevails.

Subject: [Nfbc-info] San Fransisco Opera now has accessible supertitles!

Hello,
I have been working with San Fransisco Opera to get accessible super titles
for about 2 years now and I just got back from seeing the opera and using
their brand new super title reading device!
You go to the opera house and at the cote check you ask for the accessible
super title device. They will take your ID and give you a little device with
headphones plugged into it. They have the skull bone headphones, so they
rest on your cheekbones. I didn't like those, so I just plugged in my own
headphones.
I had the volume about a 20th of a turn from being off and it was still a
little lowd, so if you are hard of hearing, you will have no problem hearing
the accessible subtitles!
They have actually become rather popular, so they have lots of them if a
group of people wanted them. The voice is not bad to listen to either.
It is a mail voice and may be the man tts from Voice Over.
This makes going to the Opera so nice, so if you have been to the Opera
before and didn't like it, it is a totally different ball game with the
super titles!
Thank you,
