Hello, I would love to attend the seminar but do not know anyone locally
whom I can go along with. I am capable of traveling, since I am very well
versed with Amtrak. In addition, finances are a bit tight and the cost of
hotels are not cheap in the bay. Any suggestions would very much be
appreciated and I hope to be able to contribute soon.

Welcome to the list.  If you want to learn more about the National
Federation of the Blind and the National Federation of the Blind of
California, and if you have a way to get to San Francisco on August 24, we
are holding a seminar on that day to introduce more people in the San
Francisco area to the Federation.  You would be most welcome to attend.

My name is Armando Maldonado, I'm from corning, CA north of Sacramento. I am
writing to introduce myself and hope to become part of an awesome family of
change and fun. I found out about NFB through numerous websites, as well as
from a friend, angela whom I met last summer at a conference in which I was
an intern for my local Independent living Services. I hope to get to kno you
