Hi Lauren,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad, but as you say he is better now.  I
understand what you have gone through as my brother had cancer two years ago
which reemerged a few months ago.  He has been given less than six months to
live.

Between traveling to see my brother in Florida and helping Karen with her
broken leg things keep me hopping around here.

Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hi,

My Dad had prostate cancer quite a number of years ago. He had radiation
treatments and it went into remission. It came back a couple months or so
ago. Just recently the cancer metastasized to other parts of his body. He
and my mom, after much stubbornness, moved to an assisted living place just
this Monday with Dad receiving hospice. Dad passed on early this morning. I
feel sad that I'll never see him again but I feel better that the painful
aspects of cancer were rather short-lived and he is okay now. I worry about
how my Mom will handle it. 

 

I realize this is not exactly blindness-related, but Dad did have two blind
daughters, if that helps.
