I'm glad to hear that it went so well. I have been in the hospital and a
skilled nursing facility for over two months. I have a new computer because
my old one was stolen. Look for short replies so that I can get the nfbc
address in my windows live mail address book.

Thanks.

Subject: [Nfbc-info] Crab Feed Update

Hello California,

It gives me great pleasure to report to you that the 1st annual Canes and
Tails Crab Feed was a huge success. Our Treasurer, Therese Retherford put
together a wonderful feast, Co-Chair Lisa Hilas put together the perfect
entertainment, The Rhythm Method, a local band that rocked the house, look
them up on Facebook. We recognized long time Federationist Mike Couey with
the 1st annual Michael Couey Leadership Award. Mike has been a huge
inspiration to Lisa and myself, among others, and we were able to completely
surprise him with the award. Mike has set the standard for outreach and
support, and our Chapter believes that he is truly deserving of this
recognition. The Michael Couey Leadership Award will be an annual award and
nominations will be accepted soon, so stay tuned.
Therese and Lisa were very successful in obtaining a multitude of cool items
to raffle and dozens of delicious desserts that were auctioned off by our
own Hoby Wedler. The winners of the Grand Prize Raffle Prize was Roger
Oberholzzer and Shannon Dillon. They walked away with 2 round trip tickets
anywhere United Airlines flies in the continental U. S., a weekend stay at
the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and free parking at SFO. For those that were
there, thanks for joining us, for those that couldn't make it, see you next
year!!!
