Hi Lisa,

You may also wish to contact the student division list... I know tons of
blind guys, including myself, who have successfully taken the GRE... I took
it before it was 100% computer based, however, so my experience with it
would not be especially helpful apart from the usual study and prep tips.

Good luck!

Brian Miller

Lisa,

I suggest you contact our National office about this. The courts already
dealt with this concerning the LSAT. So, there is a precedent. Contacting
the National Center will get you the help and support you should have to
resolve this.

Best,

Michael Hingson

Hello,

I'm completing paperwork to request accommodations to take the GRE Revised
General Test. I have just learned that JAWS is not available. I have been
informed that ETS uses their own screen reading software. The woman who
shared this information stated, "It was an awful experience". What have
other JAWS users done to take the GRE using screen reading software?

I'm not thrilled about the idea of utilizing a reader and scribe.

Thank you for your thoughts and for sharing your experiences and advice.

Best,

Lisa Irving
