Very nice southern California.
The Tri Valley Chapter, Bay Area Chapter and the Mount Diablo Chapters will
be doing the same on Saturday, September 12 at the state office in
Pleasanton. You are a tough act to follow, Rochelle but, we will give it our
best shot.
Cheers,
Mary Willows

Subject: [Nfbc-info] End of summer barbecue and fellowship with our
Federation family
Greetings to all,
on Saturday, Southern California chapters came together, mainly to
fellowship with one another but, we did manage to sneak in a little
barbecue, line dancing and game playing. Most of the time, when the
Federation family come together, we are usually in a chapter meeting, at
conventions or gathered together in a seminar. It was a dream of mine for
Southern California chapters to come together, meet one another and get to
know our Federation family. Each chapter did a little fundraising. The San
Fernando Valley chapter sold phone chargers. the guiding light chapter ran
an auction. The senior division sold tickets for a 50-50 raffle and the
Pathfinder chapter sold fans and bracelets. Also, Ever Lee Hairston had a
table set up to autograph and sell her book, quotation blind ambition
quotation. I would like to especially thank the Pathfinder chapter for
showing up in numbers and getting their hands dirty to help set up, serve up
and clean up.
Donations from the San Fernando Valley chapter, the Inland Empire chapter,
the Guiding Light chapter and the Pathfinder chapter was certainly
appreciated.
Thank you all again for showing love, hope and determination.
