[Nfbc-info] blind Idol contestant

I would add also that Scott's sister, Katelynn, is a very accomplished
vocalist and musician herself, and was one of our national scholarship
winners this past summer in Orlando. I think they both do a marvelous job
of showing the world that blind people can compete at a very high level.
The chances of getting to the top ten of American Idol are super slim, and
no one gets there without lots of talent, determination, and personality.

Hi. Interesting observation. You could be right. I have never seen the clip.
I would only say that Scott McIntyre was on American Idol in 2008. He was
highly competitive, making the elite 8. He is very supportive of the
National Federation of the Blind, participating at our recent BLAST
conference.
