That is what I was planning on doing, but I was trying to get ahead of the
game on this. My other option is for me to take the 4:00 am train on Sunday
morning from Victorville to LA Union Station and then take LA Access over to
the school and wait until 4:00 pm when the dorm will open. It's really sad
that under these unlying sercumstansis, Rehab won't pay for a cab or a
shuttle service for me to get from home to the school. they will only pay
for public/pera transit, or a drver. You would think because I live in an
area with limmittd transportation, they would be a little bet more
accomodating.
thank you for alerting me to this situation about the neighborhood. I was
already somewhat aware of this being I was there in March for the
assessment. I was very impressed with the school, but why are they so far
away from downtown LA? Perhaps, it is a cost thing.
Sorry for the long reply.
Again, thank you for your help in this matter.

Hi Ron,
I recommend that you contact either Mark or Burt to see if they have some
suggestions. The location of the Junior Blind is somewhat spotty and it is a
gated campus. That said, that should give you an idea that one needs to be
careful in that area.

Subject: [Nfbc-info] hotels in LA
Good evening all:
As some or many of you may or may not know, I am planning on attending the
telephone customer service class at Junior Blind of America in LA. the class
starts next Monday (07/06/2015) @9:00 am. I can get in the dorm on July 5th.
Because of transportation dificulties in getting to Victorville to LA, and,
because of it being the 4th of July weekend, I am considering going to to a
hotel the night before which would be thetyhe the 4th of July. does anyone
who lives in the LA area know of a fairly inexpensive hotel near Slosson and
Angeles Vista Blvd in LA as noone in their right mind is going to drive me
from Victorville to LA at the end of the 4th of July weekend. Any help on
this I would realy appreciate.
You can either email me at the email address below or call me @(442)242-7044
which is my landline number.
Thanks ahead of time for any help anyone can give me in this matter.
