[Nfbc-info] Nfbc-info Digest, Vol 125, Issue 34

You might want to 1st contact the City of Carona. Also, you might want to
talk to someone in your county. In Victorville, the busses stop @ 8:00 pm on
week days, on Weekends, it stops @ 7 on Saturdays & 5 on Sundays. AAlso,
there are no sidewalks up here which makes it difficult to get to the city
busses. You might also want to check with Netrolink to see what the train
schedules are. It might mean you will have to use a cab which unfortunately
might be expensive & out of your available money for you. I'm having a
similar situation:

This coming Tuesday (11/03/2015) I'm having my right eye removed in Upland.
The only way I can get down there is to have Access in Victorville take me
to the Amtrack Station (Victorville has no Metrolink) @ 8:00 pm. I will then
have to take a train @4:00 am. From there, I'll take the Omni Pera
Transit to Pacific eye institute. Living in the sticks like you & me sure
makes it dificult to get around up here. I guess the public/pera
transportation does not think to much about disabled people & making sure
that there are plenty of busses (both pera & public transit) for us to get
around easier.

Hello to all of the people and the national Federation of the blind of
California. Tonight at our banquet we discussed courage, and strength. I
chose courage as our conversation for our table. I told my table people
this, and no one could help me. I thought this evening while watching the
mets royals. What is the difference between Northern California, and
Southern California? Nothing. Why can't we get all of our chapters together,
and do for the Angels, Dodgers, or Padres what the northern Californians are
doing for the athletics? No reason. Then I stopped and asked myself this are
there any barriers, and obstacles that would prevent me from making this a
reality. The answer is yes unfortunately. Transportation unfortunately
limits me. You see I live in corona, 2 miles away from a fixed route bus
stop. So Rta will not pick me up from home. Yes and talk to take a Corona
dial a ride bus to the RTA bus zone everyone must be off of the Corona
dialer ride by 7 PM which means that I absolutely can not go anywhere from
7 pm to 6:42 am independently. Impossible. Impossible, I will never beagle
to go out after 7 pm I called corona dial a ride on October 20th, and asked
for new service. What else can I do about this issue? Should I follow up
with the city of corona? After how long should I follow up with the city of
corona? ys
