Do you hunt and peck on your computer keyboard? If you are experiencing changing vision and you haven’t learned to keyboard correctly you may find it more challenging to use your computer with Assistive Technology such as magnification or screen reading software. The LightHouse Keyboarding Class will get you back on track so that you can efficiently use your computer to communicate with family, friends and colleagues, get your work done and enjoy the entertainment your computer offers.
The LightHouse's 5-week Keyboarding Class teaches students the essential touch typing skills necessary for effectively using Assistive Technology. The class will focus on touch typing techniques, listening skills, and the accuracy and speed that are necessary for competitive employment and academic advancement. Students will attend weekly classes and instructor-guided lab practices.
