[Nfbc-info] bus stop announcements

I have the same issues in Fresno. This can be caused by many factgors. We
have some buses that have not been fitted with the "talkinb bus" feature
that calls stops. Sometimes it is malfunctioning or the audio level is not
heard over the noise of the bus itself or rowdiness of other passengers.
Other times drivers will forget to turn it on and need to be reminded if
they aren't calling stops themselves.

I have frequently ride the same bus routes in SF. I value the
announcements. However, they do not occur on about half of the buses. I do
not know if this is a maintance problem or driver inattention.

Hi Lisa,

No. I have not used it personally but it looked like a good fit for your
needs if you have an iPhone. but, I assume Android users may have an
alternative.

I have used LA’s version of a transit App and find it useful from time
to time. These kinds of Apps are typically free of charge so it’s of no cost
to the user for testing it out. I hope you find it useful in your travels.

Best regards,

Chad
