Hello Lauren, Relocating can be a very difficult decision to make. However it seems like you have wonderful things to look forward to with your family. Please don't forget that you will always have your Federation Family too.
I wish you the best while " Living The Life You Want"

You Can Live The Life You Want

Hi,

Well, I didn't know it would happen quite this fast, but although I've been
absolutely, totally, unequivocably, in the category of no, zip, nada, in
finding a place to live here that is less expensive or with more amenities,
I have found a home elsewhere. I will be living closer to my daughter,
son-in-law, and my grandson who is due in July. I am relocating, at the end
of June, to Eugene, Oregon.

I will miss my California Federationists, work colleagues and church
friends, and my position as secretary of the Canes and Tails chapter.
Hopefully I will see some of you if I can ever get to another national
convention in the future.

Besides the grandma in me longing to be nearer to that baby, my body is
dealing with much pain and illness to where 8-hour workdays just are too
overwhelming anymore. And the expense of things here in the bay area, Good
Grief, Charlie Brown! My rent has been hiked up 3 times in a year's time.
I'm not putting up with that anymore.

I will miss the heat here. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest before, I
will need to reacclamate to the jacket mode year-round. I hope my ears will
not have fluid issues as they did in the Marysville, WA, area.

I thank everyone for hanging in with me in WA and CA and hope things go well
in OR for me.

I will be moving to an independent-living center where I will have more
help, which I need at this point in my life. I will be retiring from Travis
AFB on June tenth. So if someone is looking for a position as a phone
operator, contact Steve Hopkins at:707-424-2586 or 707-424-9072.

Thanks,

Lauren Merryfield, the cat mom. Of course, the kitties are going with me.

Blessings in Jesus' name:

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self-control. There is no law against these things!
