[Nfbc-info] I filed a complaint

Hi,

I know the list doesn't like medical reports, but I was hospitalized Apr. 4
to 7 and again Apr. 11 to 14. For cellulitis, left leg. I.V. antibiotics.

The staff kept acting like I would fall. They would not permit me to get up
from my bed or chair without someone in the room. They were very predatory
about it. It was like they were fearing a liability, assuming that blind
people fall more than others and in general, have more accidents. There is
simply no evidence to support their thinking and I told them so.

They were also horrified about sending a blind person home, who lives alone,
blind. They just couldn't get it. I tried to make headway and may have
slightly.

This evening I filed a complaint with Kaiser Permanente because I felt like
a prisoner in my hospital room and I had to fight to be allowed to come
home.

They also wanted to send me to rehab. No way, without my kitties.

Thanks,

Lauren

Blessings in Jesus' name. "But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each
morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my
refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress."

Advice from my cats:"meow when you feel like it."
