Dear Fellow Federationists,

2017 National Convention. Thanks to all our mentors and leaders who helped
our rookies have a great experience. For those who did not have the
opportunity to attend the 2017 convention, please enjoy the banquet speech
by our President, Mark Riccobono, go to

Please be advised that the National Federation of the Blind calls on those
who have already signed on as co-sponsors of the ADA Education and Reform
Act to withdraw their support and for those who may be asked to support it
in the future to refuse. To do otherwise is to scale back hard-won gains and
hinder our progress toward true equality.

The National Federation of the Blind is a community of members and friends
who believe in the hopes and dreams of the nation's blind. Every day we
work together to help blind people live the lives they want.

San Fernando Valley Chapter

The members will be hosting a Yummy Fundraising event at Bob's Big Boy
Restaurant.

The SFV Chapter looks forward to socializing with their members, families,
friends, and other Federationists while enjoying a great meal.

You can help raise funds for the chapter by purchasing $5 gift cards that
the chapter purchased at a discounted price, to pay for your meal and at the
same time help them to say good bye to chapter members Julian Vargas and
Jaymee Castillo as they will be moving to Florida later that week.

The Bob's Big Boy Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, August 5th at 5
pm.

The location is 4211 west Riverside Dr, in Burbank.

It will be a lot of fun, great food and an easy way of raising funds to
support members attending the State Convention later in the year.

See you there!

California, President, San Fernando Valley Chapter
