AT&T is inviting the blind/low vision community to take part in the AT&T Experience More campaign. Through a 10-week social campaign, AT&T is celebrating how blind/low vision individuals Experience More – through their actions, passions, technology and more. The campaign includes a content series, national sweepstakes and meet and greet events with accessibility training at AT&T retail locations across the country. The campaign starts today and extends through October, National Blindness Awareness Month. A microsite will serve as the campaign hub, experiencemore.att.com.

The campaign includes a content series of videos and podcasts showcasing some extraordinary individuals and their ongoing pursuits to Experience More. Sample AT&T Campaign Ambassadors who will be featured in the content series:

·      Christine Ha – MasterChef Season 3 winner

·      Erich Manser – Ran the Boston Marathon with Aira technology guiding him

·      Michael Hingson – Escaped the World Trade Center attack on 9/11 descending 78 flights of stairs with the help of his guide dog

•       Erik Weihenmayer - Adventurer, athlete, activist, and motivational speaker and the first blind person to climb Mt. Everest

Innovative Technology - Aira
Throughout the campaign, we will feature Aira, an assistive technology that connects the blind with a network of agents via smart glasses. Agents see what the blind person is looking at via a small camera on the glasses so they are able to provide real time directions, feedback or assistance. Aira and AT&T have teamed to bring this service to life for the blind community

Enter the Sweepstakes*
In addition to celebrating these amazing individuals, AT&T is asking the blind/low vision community and general public to share their own stories about how they Experience More for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime sweepstakes experience with Emmitt Smith.

This national sweepstakes, featuring an experience with Emmitt Smith and Aira technology, will run through September 11. Finally, AT&T will host several meet and greet events at retail stores across the country featuring campaign ambassadors. We will also offer device accessibility training at these events. Events are planned for Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. More details to come regarding dates/time.
