It's more than just how many people attend. That number is around 3000. However, there is a need for a large room that holds everyone, a banquet space to hold everyone plus many guests, and large number of smaller breakout rooms – I can't say how many, but say 50 – for various sessions. Plus, an exhibit space.
Ideally, all the spaces have to be in a smallish area, four easy walking among them, plus easy walking access to the main hotel.
The Manchester grand Hyatt, where CSUN his held, would likely be a good space.
Again, it comes down to cost.
