Hello to all...

I am pleased to announce the "How to Stay Safe During the Holiday Season" presentation to be hosted by Jackie McBride and David Goldfield, on November 18, 2017.

From Jackie McBride:

"Many feel that the holiday season, as the song posits, is the most wonderful time of the year. Certainly merchants agree. Unfortunately, so do the cyber crooks. It's easy during the hustle & bustle of the season to let down your guard--& in so doing part with more than just the money you used to buy holiday gifts & supplies.

Online shopping can be a wonderful method of saving the time & hassle of going to the stores. This is especially true for those with disabilities. But with it comes dangers that need to be guarded against, else the holidays might not end up being as happy as they could be. During this presentation, I'll discuss how cyber criminals can cause you and your money to part ways, and what you can do about it to prevent that from happening. There will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.

I have 25 years of experience helping people unhack both their devices and their websites. Over that period of time, I've seen how easy it is to get into trouble, & I've also seen how a bit of care and common sense can prevent much of it. These are the techniques I'll be sharing during this presentation. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you there."

This presentation is open to the Public. Please circulate the details of this presentation to your friends and any email lists that you think might be interested.
