[Nfbc-info] Fit bit question

If a person is wearing a fit bit on the wrist that is holding the elbow of another person does that mess up the tracking? I walked around the Rio grande art fair today for 3 1/2 hours and my fit bit said I walked 875 steps. I know that can’t be right. The only thing I can think of is that if your wrist is not in motion the tracker has nothing to track or record. Is that the case?
