Greetings:

Have you always wanted to attend an NFB annual convention but have not done
so because of the lack of funds? The National Federation of the Blind of
California invites you to apply for a scholarship grant by contacting Ever
Lee Hairston, President. You can contact her by e-mail (
<mailto:ever.hairston at gmail.com> ever.hairston at gmail.com) to request a
grant. Perhaps this July you too can be in the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel
in Orlando, Florida, enjoying the many pleasures and learning opportunities
at the largest and most important yearly convention of blind people in the
world. Active NFBCA members, blind or sighted, who have not yet attended an
NFB national convention because of lack of funding are eligible to apply.
You are required to submit your full name, address, telephone number,
e-mail, and NFBCA chapter.  If chosen, the grant is in the amount of $800;
however, if you receive a Kenneth Jernigan Convention Scholarship, it will
be subtracted from the $800.00. Example: If you receive a Kenneth Jernigan
Convention Scholarship of $500, you will receive $300.00 from NFBCA.

Preregistration is now open. When purchased online by May 31, the
preregistration fee for convention is $25 ($30 on-site) and the cost of a
banquet ticket is $65 ($70 on-site).   <https://convention.nfb.org/>
