>> Once again the Silicon Valley council of the Blind is offering a grant for individuals who are legally blind for the purpose of purchasing technology, hearing aids or any device that promotes the independence of individuals who are legally blind. The grant has been increased from $1000 to $1500. Several of our clients have been awarded this grant over the past five years. The application is attached and it is due by postmark of January 31, 2018. Some folks have purchased iPhones and additional apps, video-magnifiers, upgrades to technology and more. We do not get many people applying for some reason so put your thinking caps on and think of a client who could use these funds. A special note to Son, and the AT Team in Santa Cruz, if you have encountered clients who need funds for technology now is the time to encourage them to apply for this grant.
>>
>> All details are outlined on the attached application and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
>> Thanks, Alice

I would hope we have students in the NFB who have more scruples and principles and integrity to know better than to sell out for an easy to an organization that does not support us just saying
