Interested in woodworking? Want to learn fundamental skills? Join blind woodworkers Brian Buhrow and Jerry Kuns for our popular workshop for both beginning and intermediate woodworkers. Instruction will cover wood turning, hand tool work, using power tools and finishing techniques. Participants will learn how to measure accurately without sight, using click rules, gauge blocks, Vernier calipers and talking tape measures. The workshop leaders will discuss wood types and construction techniques and when to glue, nail or use screws. Each participant will have a completed project to take home. This workshop runs from Thursday, January 30 to Sunday, February 2. Visit the workshop website (https://lighthouse-sf.org/mc-events/winter-woodworking-workshop/?mc_id=5053) for more information and signup instructions.
